SPHM Training is required for all UCSF staff who have job duties that require providing patients with physical assistance.
There are two required components of SPHM Training:
1) UCSF Safe Patient Handling Training V1.0 - Online training; must be completed at hire and annually.
2) Equipment Training - In-person training; instructor-led; must be completed at hire, annually, when new equipment is introduced, and when transferring to an are with different equipment.
